DASHAIN AND TIHAR
Dashain is the greatest festival of nepal .it is in month of kartik and it is celebrated almost 15 days ,first:ghatasthapana,seventh day:saptaami,ninth day:nawami, teenth day :dashami up to fifteenth days.
it has different function at different days and people believes in goddesses called "NAWA DUGA VAWANI".first day jamara can made for gatasthapana and at seventh day saptami and nawami and eight day sacrifice of goat,buffalow are seen and at ninth day nawami gun fired will be seen at hanuman dhoka and at teenth day dashamai and this day greatest person put tika and jamara and give wishes to junior or smaller person . for example :grand father put tika and jamaara to his grand son. after that no more events are but kites are flew at begining of dashain.
Tihar is also called as second largest festival nepal .
it is celebrated five days after celebrating dasshain.this day neplease people celebrate by playing with cracker and most sing and dance on deusi vailo.first day of tihar is kag tihar and this day people feed food to crow and second day kukur tihar and this day people put tika to dog and fed some food to dog .third day of tihar is gai tihar and laxmi puja this pray "puja" can be done to and gai puja "feeded some food to cow'and at fourth day govardhan puja or pray can be done and at last fifth day bhaitika can be done by sister can put tika to brothers and break walnut and specially put seven colors tika"sapta rangi tika "by brothers and sister to each other.
